Re: HT Fuse

The condensation really wasn't that bad... The fuse however was probably more than a year old. I'd probably go with that. Cheers.

Re: HT Fuse

Bass player is suggesting that a build up of condensation could cause the HT fuse to go. Could that be right?

Re: HT Fuse

Thanks Steve, I'll keep an eye on them.

I thought that'd be the case; the amp survived a 3 hour practice afterwards so I dunno.

HT Fuse

I had the band round last night and went out to switch my amp on and got no sound whatsoever; check the HT fuse and it was blown. The amp was working fine on Saturday just past so it seems a bit random. Will the HT fuse wear out over time or has something exceptional happened? I understand that elec...

Do you guys get nice and sparkly clean when you roll your volume to 3-4 (Vintage Modern's HDR)?
Depends on where the body and detail is set.

Re: Non-stick Tubescreamer

I went with the glue last night. It's now off to get an LED change to one that is visible.

Non-stick Tubescreamer

Probably a ridiculous question but does anyone else have problems trying to get Tubescreamers to stick to their pedalboard?

My issue is that the velcro doesn't hold on to the rubber bottom. I can't turn the backplate over as it appears to be part of the pedal chassis.

Re: Best Clean boost to push the LDR

Thanks guys. It'll be a while before I can order one... got my eye on a T-Rex Tremster as the next buy.

Re: Best Clean boost to push the LDR

Did this one recently. It's LDR, with the boost in the loop. If you full screen the video, you should be able to make out the amp settings.... The amp wasn't touched during the clip...guitar volume and pickup selection changes only. The Mark 4:23 is set to noon. Just fattens things up nicely in my ...

Re: Best Clean boost to push the LDR

Could someone do a video of the VM with the Mk 4:23?

I'm finding that the VM with a Tubescreamer is resulting in a fairly buzzy sound at the moment; considering a bit of a change.

The only time I've seen caps like that is in my Danelectro re-issue...

I changed the caps in my Les Paul to these:

Re: Sounds better! 50's wiring

Yes the wire goes to middle knob of volume pot. Tone knob affects the overall volume so it should be 50's wiring... Begs the question, what pots and caps do you have installed? I've upgraded both my Gibsons to CTS pots. I have an Alpha push-pull in my burst and it rolls off some treble - it's getti...
