Re: Les Paul Gurus? Some help Needed

I have Grover non-locking tuners on my studio stock from the factory, I never thought of replacing them. Sadly Grover does not make the color I want. There are Schaller ones non- Kluson that drop right in and the one screw lines up perfect. I am just worried about the possible imprint left after tig...

Re: Vintage Modern - Low/High range background noise

If this was a vintage amp, the rain noise would be a tube usually. Not sure about this one, best of luck figuring this out.

Les Paul Gurus? Some help Needed

I have a Slash 50's Les Paul with modern Kluson style tuners. They have a 10mm hole in the head stock. I bought Kluson style tuners in Black Chrome from Gotoh. I have yet to find bushings in black chrome or Ruthenium that have the 10mm outer and a 6.4 inner anywhere. I found 6.2 from Schaller, maybe...

Hell is for Children

I think if I have to hear "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" one more time by a crap bar band or at karaoke, I might loose my mind, I do like "Hell" though. I think her vocals on this are still :headbanger even after all this time. :yourock

Re: 2266 EL34

Best of luck with this. I would say to trace the pins one and eight on the circuit board. There may have been a better place to connect them, this isn't a turret board.

Re: World Gone Mad

Be careful Surf, you will be first in line for Covid camps, like the Aussies do. I am kidding but....I have a feeling that if those camps get traction here, the average person will fold and just stay quiet. If that is the case, the land of the free and the home of the brave is pretty much over till ...

Re: Anyone Using Treble Boosters?

I'm interested in your take on the Skewer. The post office found the pedal, or should I say the woman at the front desk did. This pedal is a bit of a paradox for me, it seems to work best at taming single coils. And it also gets single coils into humbucker territory as far as gain and EQ. It does w...

Re: Anyone Using Treble Boosters?

I was wondering how long it would take for the pedal to get here. It was here last week and I didn't receive the notice from the post office. Now the pedal is lost for now, there. :doh Now that my Super Sonic 60 has a PI tube socket issue, hopefully it is just a re-flow of solder. Also the Vibrolux ...

White Shag-- "BLEED"

I found this album while shopping for records online. I have bought quite a few records, including this one, for $8 or less in the last year that been pretty good. This is just good old fashion Detroit Rock 'N' Roll.

Re: Anyone Using Treble Boosters?

Interesting I have never heard someone say their Fender amps were lacking in treble. Your speaker swap might be part of your problem. Les Paul's and Fender amps are one of the all time classics. I would think any good treble boost would do the job. Some guitarists like to put a 1K pot on their guit...
