Re: worth a possible divorce?

Any purchase, as long as it ends up with the wife leaving, is TOTALLY worth it.
Whether it is a 10 cent high E string, or a 5 grand new guitar, as long as it pisses them off enough to leave, then it is worth every cent
(this is assuming that any guy is dumb enough to get married in the first place )

Re: Corey Taylor almost knocks out Jim Root

People have too much time, if they sit around and think this was on purpose. There are way more important issues in the world than crap like this... such as the Jews vs the Muslims world war coming up. Everyone knows the Jews own the world banks, and such, the world, and the Muslims have had enough ...

Re: Stage volume

Papus, can you run 2 cabs with one of them being a 1 x 12 in front of you as your personal monitor?

Re: EVH Releases the Wolfgang USA Tour Relic

It just looks like a cheap shitty beginners guitar.
I don't own or want dogs, but if i did, it could wipe its dirty arse all over that if it wanted to, and i wouldn't give a shit about it.

Re: Astoria Power reduction

It's not a pentode/triode switch or a complex integrated circuit, it's a minimal discrete circuit that changes the configuration of part of the power amp when engaged, that is all. Simple but effective and nothing new really. Ok Steve, I know you are no longer at Marshall, but why then isn't it on ...

Re: NCD Marshall MX212A

Had some time, so tried some speaker combinations. I put a Lorantz 50wt CP304 in the top position of this cab. It is an Australian made greenback clone (made at the old Plesey factory in Melbourne). The Lorantz are great medium magnet greenback clones, i also have some 30wt ones, that are very close...

NCD Marshall MX212A

I got a Marshall MX 212A. It is a 'budget' vertical 2 x 12 A cab. The size is about 3/4 size of a standard 4 x 12 cab. It is the same height, and about 2/3 the width. It is designed for a small box Marshall head. A Class 5, or Haze 15, or DSL 15 head sits atop it very well. It is made in Vietnam. It...

Re: Top wrapping

When i top wrap my LP, i definitely find the strings easier to bend. I don't know the physics behind it, but it is there.
I have the stopbar as low as it will go, and as far as tonal changes i have not noticed a difference. It is all about a comfort in bending for me.

Re: Fulltime musician yearly income

I like metal, all kinds of music except for modern R & B, rap, country, hip hop, and dance music. I have never heard of Thy Art, but anyone playing that style of music is kidding themselves if they think they are going to world famous and rich. That style of music has a very small niche, I for one w...

Re: Class 5 headphone trick mod - R51

Al, Any other mods to it are probably out of my capabilities, so I will leave it as. Maybe a white head shell for it. Apparently Marshall were not making money off these so production stopped, but a few tweaks to it can help. I know you didn't bond with yours, but it is still a great amp I think. Ma...

Re: Class 5 headphone trick mod - R51

Al, if Marshall re-released the C5 with a few tweaks it would be a great amp. Add a bright switch (i have done and it works great at low, clean tone volume) revoice the bass frequency, and make the low output mode more user friendly - it is basically unusable as a headphone output, so just make it a...

Re: Class 5 headphone trick mod - R51

So i cut one leg of R51, and now the low output mode, or heaphone trick output, is awesome. It allows you to crank the C5, at realistic bedroom volume, and still have an awesome tone. It may not have that really crisp bite of a cranked plexi, but comes close considering what it is. 5 watt EL84. Thin...

Class 5 headphone trick mod - R51

Guys, i have read that if you remove R51, it will give back some 'clarity' when using the headphone output trick - plug your speaker cable halfway into the headphone output, and you have reduced 'bedroom' volume. On the schematic, R51 is there to take some of the shrill off, when using actual headph...

Bed sheets are for wiping the come off your dick after doing your girlfriend. Not for putting under guitars.
Lesson learnt hopefully.
