Re: Please Introduce yourself...

Very nice, I see the museum never stops growing. I was there 5 years ago for my 50th birthday. Glad you had a great time.
Memories to last a lifetime.

Re: SV20H mic'd cab vs. Universal Audio OX

Damn it's so hard to tell, I take it that with the 2nd one having more reverb that's the OX? Also what matters is which sounds best, again both are good but slightly different. 1st one is slightly more natural to my ears, but really in a mix you could use any. The OX is a great choice for people wit...

Re: Do you ever wish you hadn't seen a ......

You have to be careful watching Pete Thorn vids, he can make anything sound good.
I find fuzz very dependent on guitar and amp, and volume.
I love a well dialed in fuzz, but really struggle with it myself, despite having about 7 of them!

Re: I Met Steve Harris Last Night!!!!

Now that's an interesting question.

I can tell you that Cousin currently has some fantastic ideas knocking around, and his playing is totally on point, So classic rock, he's in the zone right now.
I'm hoping he'll share something soon.

Re: JTM and JMP classic rock

Hi Fullbend good to hear from you. Yeah it's a classic combination that has worked for decades. I think ac/dc used to use them both back in the 70s.

The 1w amps are just so easy to record with.

Re: JTM and JMP classic rock

Al what will you be doing for drums, bass etc? Nice playing as usual. :Cheers Dana's blues Thanks Dana's blues, drums will be ezgrummer 2 and bass is my Dean 5 string. So just a home production. Can't afford anything other than that. Also the time factor, I might get an hour or 2 a couple of times ...

Re: JTM and JMP classic rock

Thanks Cuz, Yeah that boost has a good tone. Also the Bass on the JMP was off, and that's another way to set these amps up. Then the Ribbon mic adds beef and curbs some top end and I'm left with a very usable Marshall tone for a mix.

Sounds cool, he's so laid back, not a super star attitude. I've met Nicko at a pub gig he did for Phil Hilborne. Great guy. Have a great time.

JTM and JMP classic rock

Hi guys, still working on sounds for my album. These two 1w amps always gel well and will be the amps for the album. Ended up being heavier than I expected, but happens when you use Marshall's. It's just a throw away test for how they sit in a mix panned jtm left and jmp right. Lead guitar is the JM...
