Re: Tronical Sues Gibson for $50 Million

I like the Tronical/G-Force electronic tuners that came standard on my three 2016 & 2017 Gibson Les Pauls'. Their tuning abilities is what initially persuaded me to purchase more Gibson guitars. The Tronicals do take some getting-used-to, but once I understood and practiced the push button sequences...

Hey Dana!

If you have time, please let us know what you think about using one of these EL84 power reduction brands in the 2266C.

Thanks.

Re: Unlucky on power tubes

Antolí, more information. The original boxes. Hi Roger, Sorry to hear about your tube failures. I am not an expert, but about ten (10) years ago or so I started to notice that some tube sellers/vendors were advertising tubes as 6L6/5881 or EL34/6ca7. I became suspicious about this type of labeling....

Re: jvm 410hjs 212 cab speaker recommendation

Hey xanderbullets29, Dr Z has a great and informative video on 2x12 cabs here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3g1suBhsJc Dr. Z does a much better job than I could do explaining the differences between open back, ported, and closed back 2x12 cabs and why you may want one over the other. Also, years...

Re: Bad News For The Astoria Line..

IMO as far as some Euro countries wanting to ban tubes has less to do with the environment and worker health and more to do with the fact the much of the tubes are made in Russia and Nato's hegemonic overlord Washington is trying to find anyway imaginable to sink that country's economy and so forth...

Re: jvm 410hjs 212 cab speaker recommendation

....Billy will the Golds sound good through a 212 open back pine cab? I ask this since you mentioned that you have a 212 closed back cab. Thanks! Maybe...I was happy with my Golds in my open back Mesa 2x12 Lone Star cab but I think this cab is birch, not pine. So as far as 2x12 Golds in pine, xande...

Re: Bad News For The Astoria Line..

Exactly.. If crApple made the iPhone in the San Francisco area it'd cost 3x as much. My niece works in one of Apple's upper level "artistic" positions. They pay her real well because the product is made off-shore. Hey TMI, I hear what you are saying but the real money that Apple makes is from the c...

Re: Bad News For The Astoria Line..

One thing is for sure, the amps made in England will hold/appreciate in value much better than the ones made in the east. I hear you, Anitoli, but have started to question if this will be the case and if tube amps will even be part of our future. Some euro countries are talking about banning tubes ...

Re: jvm 410hjs 212 cab speaker recommendation

I use a pair of 12" Celestion Golds in a 2x12 closed back cab made by Zinky with all my amps, including my JVM410H-JS. To my ear, the Golds do everything well. They seem to let me hear the distinct and unique character of each amp, including my Dr. Z's, Marshalls, Mesas, Avatar variants, Blackstars,...

Hey Sigi,

Nice find!

I love the gold RCA jacks and plugs for the reverb.

And these do sound like fenders. Nice amp.
