Re: VM with 425 cabinets

I think what they are calling a learning curve you are referring to as evolution. Just a difference in terminology.

I can appreciate what they are saying, you learn what settings you do and don't like; what works with your guitar and pedals. I've been through this many times myself.

Re: my Vm 2266, help with tubes..

Hi fendrix81, You'll find the answer to your first question in the FAQ . Changing the KT66s in the power section will change how the amp sounds but this is very subjective. What other people like may not sound good to you. Other members have had good experiences with Gold Lion KT66s, I myself use th...

Re: Steve D or others....question about light voltage

I can second this.

Mine is very dim now, it's visibly dim, but not as retina-searing bright as it used to be. It sometimes flickers when I play also. I don't know whether it could be a dodgy connection or not?

Re: Scares Me !

Our house dates to the 1860s. We get some creepy noises but there isn't anything to them; love creeping out my other half though!

Your Strat sounds amazing. Dare I say...

Does yours have stacked single coils? Sounds distinctly humbuckery...?

The few songs I've heard I quite like... Down the Drain and Big Foot (BF seems to be playing every 10 minutes over here).

Re: So where were you on 9/11 2001?

Like Kyle I was still in school, around 16 years old. We'd just come out of PE and a friend had got a text from his dad describing what had happened. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't really follow what was going on at the time but came home from school and watch the tv all evening - then it began to si...

Re: I have a Question

As kissfan said... Buy some Burstbucker Pros...! As for Bare Knuckles, the Burstbuckers were introduced to replicate the original PAF sound so Bare Knuckle Mules might be a good starting. My main Les Paul has a pair of Emeralds in which is slightly hotter than a PAF (think 70s Les Paul Custom). The ...

Re: No way!!

If I remember right Doug runs his 2466 in LDR and hammers the front end using a Zvex Box of Rock. Not sure at the time of this video, but to my knowledge Doug has his own sig distortion by Majik Box. Also, his main amps are a couple of modded 70's jmp's while using the VM for 'crunchy' parts. Yes, ...
