Nothing wrong with that tone, and if you were after Whitesnake I think you got REAL close. I would like to hear that with perhaps a bit more overdrive pushing it and with a thin layer of chorus. Either way it sounds great.

The results of replacing the C22B with the Pearly Gates is way less mudd and huge gain in harmonic overtones, I think the PG is less hot than the C22 but it is a definite improvment over the Carvin pickup.

I'm going to slap it in my CT3C this weekend, I only bought one for the bridge to replace the C22B. Those reviews sound pretty accurate to me, when it is time to retube later this year I am going to go for the cryogenic treated Valve Art KT-66s

I stay in the low range most of the time and boost with the OCD, for more modern high gain stuff I have to go to the high range. I do prefer the vintage low range, very sweet.
