Best headphone for Ipod and music at work ?

Hi everyone, my loved SSennheiser HD 555 are almost dead. I used a lot of crazy glue on them and they are falling apart. So, it's time for a new pair of headphone. Any suggestion for a good pair for music only and the music leakage is really important for me, because my coworker is about 5-6 feets f...

Re: Fryette power station

So, you power up the power station first and then you power up your amp I guess ?

Since, it's not a passive device the Fryette.

Re: Fryette power station

Quick question, did you have any problems with frying some fuses on your amp ?

One of my friends fried at least 2-3 fuses when he used the Fryette Power Station.

Maybe we could use that slogan : Fryit...

Maybe his unit has a defect.

Re: Just tried a Suhr Badger18, Corso and Pink Taco

Yeah, that's the problem with some boutique amps, they want to reproduce their Marshall tone and they tweak a lot of stuff to acheive that.

In my book, the best replicas are made by Germino and Metro amps.

Re: Just tried a Suhr Badger18, Corso and Pink Taco

@Alpeggio, next time that you go to the shop, can you check if there's a Friedman Smallbox 50w ?

I hear that's one of the best amp for that kind of price range. Way cheaper then the BE100.

Re: Fryette power station

How do you like the overall tone of the unit ? Can it become a real bedroom level even if you are using your YJM at 10 ? I hear that the volume is excellent, there's no click for the attenuator, so really easy to reduce the volume and the Fx loop is awesome too. Did you experiment the switchs that a...

Re: Marshall JMP 1987x or 1959SLP RI with an attenuator ?

Yeah, between the 1987x and the SLP, it's only 3db if I'm right.

Everytime that you double the wattage, you add 3db.

Yeah, my friend asked me if I'm selling my 50th anniversary 1 watters.

I said no way :P

These are not available in Canada right now, even in the used market.

Thanks for the reply Surf :P

Marshall JMP 1987x or 1959SLP RI with an attenuator ?

Hi guys, one of my friends spotted a used 1987x from 2009 under 1k$ and he asked me if he can make that beast quiet enough to make it a bedroom amp ? I said this : You will need a Aracom PRX150,a Rivera Rockcrusher or a Fryette Power Station for sure. Is that possible or the tone will be really bad ...

Re: JMP1 Bass control ?!? (combo owner)

Hi, maybe mine is not like yours, but mine sounds really bassy and when I hit the bass at 10, I can hear an increase in the gain.

I now use the head version with a 1x12 cab with a creamback and I love it :P
