Tremolo Pedal in VM Effects Loop?

Postby Ice Tre » 03 Sep 2012, 19:41

Any VM owners on the forum who like to use tremolo occasionally? Any of you use a tremolo pedal in the VM's effects loop? If so what tremolo pedal(s) would you recommend? Or are all y'all just rockers? :ha ha

I use a T-Rex tremster with my VM. In front of the amp, not in the loop though.

I have a Visual Sound Garagetone Tremolo, it's a dirt cheap pedal and I bought it for that reason because I wasn't sure if Trem was something I was really interested in. I think it sounds plenty good, but trem as an effect just isn't really *me*. I'm going to keep the pedal just in case I run into a situation where I need it but it's not on my board anymore.

I'm curious why not in the loop? Because all your other pedals are in front and you don't want to have two sets of pedals? (That would be reason enough for me). Or did you try it in the loop and not like it? Or found that it sounded the same either way?

The VM can take many pedals well simply placed in front of the preamp, best to experiment there and in the loop to discover which option is better.
