unusual vintage modern question for steve(purple tolex)

Postby bluesbrother » 29 Sep 2008, 12:11

Hi steve,

I am having a amp buildt to my personal specs( which is very exiting)
Its a top and i am going to place it on top of my vintage modern halfstack.
I would really like to know if it is possible to buy the purple tolex from marshall? :?:
It would look great because it is the same size and got the same knobs etc

By now you are probably curious what kind of amp .....
Its a handwired JTM 45 with GZ34 rectifier and of course KT66 valve(they are the best!!)
The extras that are going on is a tubebuffered FX-loop and a PPIMV.
It is going to be built by VERNET amps.I know metro is better but that is too expensive for me.
With marshall i should need some serioud modding(KT66,fx,MV) and than it is still not handwired.
At first i wanted a fender with my vm , but when i play one i really missed the feeling i get with a
marshall ( hard to explain.....)
All the best,
Bluesbrother.

You can get the VM tolex from here:

http://www.guitar-parts.com/

They don't have it listed on the site but if you call them they can get it.
