metal cover on preamp tubes

Postby HappyBlues » 09 Oct 2008, 07:38

Sorry if this has been discussed before but I can't find it anywhere.
How do I remove metal covers on VM's preamp tubes? I have combo version.
I want to try out ECC82 - N.O.S. not sure about brand... has some sort of artistic "V" on it...
But it's working in other amp, that's for sure.

just turn them until it pops out...it might be a little tough to twist though

hi, yeh as said just twist the metal cover till it comes out, they are a bit tight as there is a rubber seal on the bottom. the valves just pull out.
