No, they were given one trim pot per pair.
Thanks for the info. Any other changes over the years that were redesigned during the production years?

As an owner of a VM2455 I would like to thank you for your time here as I have learned a great deal that would otherwise be lost over time. Also great job on this amp!
They added aluminum square spacer under the transformer to reduce vibrations.
My chassi vibrated and made weird buzzy sound when I got mine. I stiffened it up myself.
The aluminium lamination was implementeded in 2006, a few months after the initial production run. There are a few 50W Marshall models that make use of an extra aluminium lam, not just the Vintage Modern.

Did VM production start in 2006? What years was purple tolex with gold piping available?

It would be fantastic if we could please update the FAQ with some of this excellent background technical information for the VM platform!

Hello Steve,....don't know if you are still visiting this forum but here's my question,
just got a nice matched quad of KT66 Gold Lions to replace the
JJ's that were in my 2466 amp but it seems that the range of both trim pots in the VM
won't permit me to put the GL's in .

Both trim pots turned all the way down to the left ,.I have a reading
of 96.5 mv on the left and 86.5 on the right which is too hot ,...I should be able
to go down between 72 - 80 but can't ,.or even lower if one trim pot is for one pair ?..................any suggestions ?
