For the most part I have used the mid boost with my VM. I didn't realize that this seems to also boost the volume in high dynamic range. With it out, the jump in volume is a lot more manageable when switching modes. I still have to play with the master volume but not as much. I can adjust the preamp to be warmer without the mid boost. So it is easier to find a setting that works in both ranges that way. I don't know why i didn't figure this out before. When switching modes with the mid boost in I had to adjust both eq and body and detail. Now I just have the volume to deal with. Few!
