Discrepancy in fuse values for HT forum/manual/backpanel

Postby ItsaRat! » 22 Mar 2018, 13:57

Hi all, looked through the forum and didn't see the same question mentioned over the discrepancy in seeing. I've owned a 2466 since about 2009. Great amp. Recently one of my KT66s died, and the HT fuse blew. I have a new quad but need to replace that fuse. Searching for the value led here. According to the FAQ, it's a 1A, 125v if I read it correctly. However the value that was in it from the factory was 1.25A 125v (which I brought to an electronics store and now have 2 , ready to use), and the manual directs me to consult the back panel, which calls for a T1AE 250. Which is correct?

Welcome to the forum :howdy

The correct value is as per the rear panel and manual.

It's a slow blow or Time Delay type; -

T1AE 250V for the HT fuse.

Size is 5mm x 20mm.
Still my guitar gently weeps

Thanks Steve! Btw If you're the designer of the amp, I met you once at an Anaheim Namm show outside (if I'm not mistaken) Lemmy's autograph signing at the Marshall booth. I was working the ProCo booth, but I stopped over there not for the celebs, but specifically to tell you how much I loved the 2466! :yea
