VM fuse holder / fuse type

Postby HF1600ie » 30 Sep 2019, 02:03

Hi,
Does anyone know if the VM uses the "short" or the "long" fuse holder ? I believe the innards of the fuse (the part that we rotate with the screw) are common to both versions.

I have taken a picture and tried to compare but sometimes it looks like the long version, other times, like the short one.

Arhgh.. :think

It uses 20mm x 5mm fuses.

If I remember right, I think my Vintage Modern had a small compartment, as part of the mains socket assembly, with a spare fuse inside.

thank you both for the answers.

But is the fuse "house" the Long or the short version? Because the 5x20mm fuse seems to be able to be inserted into both of these two versions. I may be wrong.

I think it is the short housing, but... :roll

On the BOM it says; -

Part No - FUSE-00033; Description - FUSEHOLDER 20mm

The VM does not accept the longer fuses so it'll be the short housing.

Thank you Steve !
My eye was saying it should be the short version, but just wanted to be sure before ordering the part.

Aesthetically mine doesn´t look nice due to "sticky" fuse a few years ago that was so hard to remove. I know.... don´t ask how it happened ! :popcorn

Fortunatelly it seems to be very easy to replace it.
