Has anyone replaced tolex on a 425a?

I have a chance to pick up a 425a but I'm not sure on it's condition. Had anyone ever been able to find an accurate replacement for the purple tolex?

If looks are important to you then hold out until you can find a 425 cabinet in great condition. The tolex used on the Vintage Modern is going to be hard to come by today, perhaps Marshall still has some but I doubt it. You could also go down the road of Marshall custom shop and see if they could build you a new cabinet with it.

Closest aftermarket match I have seen is this stuff.

They seem to be about as common as hens teeth and when they do come up they’re understandably local pickup only and on Guam. ;)

Thanks. I got a swatch of it. It's not a good match. I'm going to end up just living with the torn tolex.
