The Fulltone Fat Boost (vintage era) which you can find for around $100 on ebay pushes the VM into fat singing leads and overall just boosts and fattens everything up giving the VM a much fuller sound. For overdrive, I run a Fulldrive II, Robon Trower Overdrive, Fat Boost and OCD (version 3) which is a really great overdrive pedal as well but for overall fat clean boost that pushes the VM into overdrive, nothing beats the Fat Boost (old version).

Before anything else, do you know what is wave cap? I just want to get more info about it.

I have just had my first full volume rehearsal with my VM 2466 and was very happy with the overall performance. I like to use the HDR but keep the Detail and Body under 5 for my 70's rock rhythm tones. I was not using anything for my solo tone other than a slight turn from 7 to 10 on the Les Paul volume and I found myself longing for a little more 'cream' on the solo tone.
I don't want to use a pedal that changes the tone too much, just a slight gain and mid boost.
I guess a TubeScreamer is going to get me in the ball park. Or possibly a Boss SD-1?

Any ideas? What do you guys use???
Congratulations on your first full volume rehearsal with your VM 2466! It's great to hear that you're happy with its overall performance. Achieving the right tone for different parts of a song can be a fun and creative journey.

When it comes to adding a little more "cream" to your solo tone without drastically altering the overall sound, both the TubeScreamer and the Boss SD-1 are popular choices among guitarists. They can provide that slight gain boost and mid-range enhancement you're looking for.

Ultimately, the best pedal for you depends on your personal preferences and the specific sound you're aiming to achieve. It might be helpful to try out both pedals and see which one works best with your setup and desired solo tone. Additionally, experimenting with different settings and combinations can also yield interesting results.

My VM is a 2266 combo. It loves my overdrives! The three that I like best include a Boss OD-3 and a Digitech Hardwire CM-2. Both feed in some boost and drive that mesh very nicely with the amp tones. Also, a Marshall Guv"nor, which adds a JCM style of drive.
