Vintage Modern 2266 lovin it!

Postby timmers5150 » 05 Nov 2010, 16:54

:rocker
Traded a triple rec for the vintage modern and have not looked back. Also have a 50 watt ampeg Lee Jackson vl-501. Both great amps but the 2266 is heaven when it comes to vintage sweetness. Love to play Van Halen on the 2266. It just nails the vibe. What a great tone generator. Steve, you did an awesome job. :party

That's one of the cool features of this amp... It will nail pretty much any distorted sound you are after .. using the appropriate
guitar and your own mojo ...

As I said before: This is THE Amp!
I can play 99,99% of anything, any kind of music.
Earning some money to buy another one. This time, a 2466.

Rock on!

Very true. It is THE amp. I would never get rid of it for anything. It brings a tear to my eye that I cannot crank it (stupid NYC apartments).

NYC!!! Some day, one day I'll go to NYC. I'd love to know the City!
I think you have to move to another town! :D :D :P
Try to isolate the room. Can you do that?
I live in Portugal in a small town called BRAGA (ancient Roman name: Bracara Avgusta; more than 2000 years of history!)
My house has a backyard and so on...No neighbors to care about...But I have a 2 years old son. I can't make to must "noise" at night when I come back from work. I can only crank my amp at weekends and at the reahearsal room. Sometimes I suffer! I cannot pass beyond 1, 1.5...But VM still sounds good.
