Futurlec: DO NOT DO BUISNESS WITH!!!

Postby Anitoli » 11 Feb 2017, 02:34

This is a heads up to anyone that buys electronic parts, stay the fuck away from these assholes:

http://futurlec.com/

I needed to restock the MIDI parts and found this Futurlec site and it looked good and had good prices ( the hook) and seemed to be very well stocked so i placed a $160 order IN DECEMBER. Now considering the company is in Australia i knew it would take approx 15 to twenty days to get here so i wasn't too worried i guess. Well when 30 days went by i started wondering what was going on so i sent them an e-mail and got this reply:

Dear Peter

20 74HC574
20 80C31
10 27C64-150
20 93C46
1 LEDPACK
1 ELEPACK
1 RES14WPACK
2 ICSPACK

Your order is complete, except for these above items.

A new shipment will arrive at our warehouse in 1-2 weeks when your order is shipped.

Should you have any further enquiry, please feel free to contact us

Best Regards
Amp

So after a month 99% of the order wasn't even filled and they were waiting for the parts to arrive?
This pissed me off. For one thing there was no indication on their site that they were engaging in drop shipping ( i believe i bitched about this in an other thread). Secondly there was no indication on the site that they DON'T stock the parts.

I sent them another e-mail today but i am not holding my breath anymore, i am basically writing this off as a scam which i got burned on. Looking on the web i see many other people had problems with these assholes, though some did get their orders filled it took forever. Also their contact info page only lists fax numbers, no phone numbers at all.

I also requested in my first e-mail to them that if they couldn't fill the order and ship immediately to refund my money, and what do you think i get? Dick.

DON'T do business with these guys. Take my word for it.

Unless you can source those parts elsewhere the wait might be unavoidable. My biggest concern would be if the vendor is legit.

I was sourcing the parts from other suppliers with no ill effects at all Surf. All i was attempting to do was find a cheaper source which is pretty much what everybody does when purchasing just about anything. I was trying to avoid going up on my prices because shipping charges keep rising.

I mean they don't even have LED's in stock???? WTF???

The wait is unacceptable considering i was blindsided by these guys, re: no advance warning of operations. Any of the other suppliers that i have used would not have done this. Live and learn.

I will just have to spend a little more and go back to the reliable sources. Piss me off.

I've always had great experiences with Mouser and Digikey. Have you tried them?

Yes i have used both companies with great results. The problem i have is the parts on the MIDI board are obsolete and i cleaned out Mouser's, Digikey's, Allied's, ect supplies a long time ago and they won't get any more. There are companies that have the parts such as Jameco and Quest which is where i have been getting most of the parts i need. Just have to go back to them and write this other order off as a loss. I have to take the hit because i paid with Paypal and by doing so i can't issue a chargeback like i could with a credit card.

You should still be able to file a PayPal Claim for items not received. Resolution Center - Items Not Received

Unfortunately Pay Pal isn't going to be able to assist in this issue. They want me to e-mail these guys to ask what the problem is and i have already done that, more than once. They just do not respond any more. The big blow off. These guys are a SCAM.
Stay away.
