This is sad news (I'm a big ELO fan). Here's a video with Mike Edwards, he's the goofy looking guy sitting down with the hood.
It must have been a trip playing a cello through a full 8X12 stack, which those guys did. There was a video on youtube of ELO in the early days (with Mike Edwards and Mike DeAlbequerque on bass) playing Roll Over Beethoven live, it was one of the most amazing live videos I've seen. Unfortunately it was taken down, and the other videos aren't quite as good. In their day ELO was one of the best bands on the planet.
