Congratulations to the Vintage Modern Forum - 1000 members

Just want to give a shout out to all you guys out their who make this forum great. As of yesterday the Vintage Modern Forum has hit over 1000 members. This forum started back in the spring of 2007 with only a few members. Since then there has been many changes to the forum and it keeps growing even today.

It is you the forum members that makes this place a unique music stop to talk Marshall's, music, and exchange ideas. While originally only discussing the Vintage Modern I am proud that today we can talk about other Marshall's like the JMD1, Class 5, and even the new upcoming AFD100 here.

The site will continue as it is encouraging new players, supporting seasoned players and even supporting friendly chat when some of us need someone to talk too. It will continue to allow free expression and thought and welcome all members who want to contribute to the discussions. We also will continue to make this site spam free and advertising free, no pop ups here.

A special thank you to the forums moderators and to Steve Dawson who remains kind enough to come in and provide facts and guidance for us here.

Maybe organize a Vintage Modern Forum-holiday!
Think what it could give : 1002 members who don't know each other,only by this forum,same passion,totaly different background.... A holyday full of sex drugs and rock 'n roll!!
See it like this : 1002 marshall amps alligned in one fuckin' row...1002 guitarists in front of it...could be a world record! The biggest gig ever!

It's been over three years now and this forum continues to grow and mature.

It's fascinating to see how a disparate cross section of the playing population can come together on common ground such as this. Bless you all for making this an enjoyable place to come for players seeking other's experience and imparting their own (and there is much of it) as well as somewhere to just chat if you're feeling particularly elated about something, or even the opposite.

Surf has done such an amazing job evolving this site, largely at his own expense, with sterling housekeeping from the mods.

Let's not forget also that it was Altanon who delivered this baby to the world so props to him also.

Yes, he was the one who started the forum and got it kicked off. I didn't even become a member myself until after a couple of months. As time goes on I will keep the site going promising not to sell it out to advertising, I get requests for that but turn them down. The hardest thing is keeping the clever spammers out.

As always the forum belongs to us the members and I am always willing to accept suggestions on improvments to the extent I can. This forum is not in competition with other forums and there is no money to be made from it, just a great place to discuss Marshalls and all things music.

But thanks Altanon/Surf for the site. And thanks to ll of it's members. This forum took over the Ultimate Guitar forum for me, and is the only forum I talk on at all too. :)
