I must change valve preamp on my 2266C help me

i must change preamp valve on my VM combo.
i read a lot of thinks about preamp valve.
help me please. i play a lot of heavy rock like slash or withesnake.

Is there something wrong with your current valves or do you just want to try something different?

I've used JJ's before and liked them, but so far not in my VM (I actually have a set in my drawer for when the stock ones quit, but I've never tried them).

Tung Sol's are good from what I've heard, if Surf were around he'd suggest the Tube Store's Preferred series 7025 which I'm probably going to try at some point

I'm sure you can find a lot of opinions on this

no , all the valve are ok.
my amp is a "second hand" and i just want to try different valve in the preamp.
i read a lot of post about preamp valve. and i want more dynamic in my sound. not a lot of gain but i want something
more "organic" if you see what i mean.
the VM is the best amp for this "organic " sound (my guitar volume is my best friend with the VM)
and i'm sure i can find different valve for the preamp (i have the stock valve on it) with better sound.
i hope you understand me.

Surfnorthwest recently recommended the Preferred Series 7025 in another thread. I put one of these in V1 and V2 to try them out. To my ears they have a hint more gain and a bit higher end which is good for me because I tend to play at low vols so I like it to cut a little.

I'm terrible at describing tone though so take that with a grain of salt. But I like them.
