I just put in some Gold Lions in my 2266C, and wow! I am liking them.A little fatter, more articulate, and smoother, fuller bottom but no mush.

What did you bias the Gold Lions at please ?
I read a review that said they needed to be biased "hot" at ??% of "plate dissipation" but I don't understand all that.

How old were your stock tubes when you replaced them and were they biased correctly before you took them out? I have been on the fence about buying some of these.

The stock tubes are about 3 months old, I got the amp brand new shipped to me directly from Marshall after the first combo I got was had severe rattling issues.
The bias was good at 48/47 for the stock tubes. I put the Gold Lions in and biased them about the same (47.8 on one the other was 46.9)
The stock tubes were better matched by a little bit.
Don't get me wrong, I think the stock ones sound good, but I do like the Gold Lions a bit more, and no rattle!! The stock ones did rattle right out of the box.

Thanks for the info.
Sorry to ask another question but did you have any problems with the "bear traps" please ?

I had no problems with the bear traps. That's one of the reasons I went with the Gold Lions. The bases are the same as the stock tubes and I didn't want to mess around with changing or removing anything.
