TRIPLE SUPER LEAD/JVM1H-TSL100-LM6100

Postby Roger » 01 Feb 2018, 12:25

Hi guys

Today I learn that I can put the JVM1H on low mode then run a instrument cable from the 1W speaker output into the FX return of any amp.
I used my JVM1H as the main amplifier in the lead guitar, in the effects loop of the JVM1H I connected the looper and the JFX1 (reverb, chorus, delay effects). I used the TSL100 to record the rhythm guitar to the looper. Then I used an A-B / Y box to pick up the signal from the JVM1H's speaker out and take it to two amplifiers, the LM6100 and the TSL100.

The guitar is a standard LP.

The song is the video of this post already completed.

I recorded with my usual bad and cheap material. Notebook, freesoftware (audacity). I used the emulated line output from the TSL100 and the LM6100.
Sorry for the wave radio audio sound that you can hear in the track, It's the firt time that I use method.

Its funny how many still don't know this, we have been talking about it here since 2012.

I only have the JTM1 left from all the 1 watt heads I bought, but it sounds so good into a 100 watt loop.

Probably I read it before but I didn't have got the JVM1H, I bought used and two years ago because Alpegio's good tracks. Already I used the JVM1H into a 100 watt loop but connecting into emulated line out or into send input of FX loop. Never I did have got good sound, until now. This method it's the best for use this 1 watt heads into a 100 watt loop.

That works good Roger.
Would have sounded better miked with the sm57 though.
I assume you had to keep the volume down or something.

It really gives you another tone option using the JVM as a preamp, and its a good one.
Btw Surf's rig of 3 1w amps switchable into his 100w slave amp sounded awesome.
JTM45, YJM plexi, KK800, JTM60, JTM1, JMP1, JCM1, DSL1, JVM1. Laney Lionheart 5w, Laney Ironheart 15 studio.

I need replace the USB interface to record with sm57. My USB interface it's a shit. The Signal from TSL100 always it's the same with more or less volume, with or without vpr mode or mute mode. On the Lm6100 you can adjust the emulated line out. The volume doesn't matter using the emulated line out. I recorded it loud. I need more time to learn It with this method.

Hi guys
This time I use one amp for each track. TSL and LM6100. Recording with SM57 and line out because I want the stereo on the track. Like always the execution it's not perfect.

I like the LM better but hey i am biased as hell! I have been hearing that tone for 20 plus years, it's a hard thing to shake.
