All i can say is i've played michael kelly guitars which where pretty impressive and I've used fishman pickups in my acoustics which are great pickups. Sorry i cant comment on their mandolins but the logic would follow i guess.

The Godin A8 sounds great acoustically. Not sure what they did design-wise to make that happen but it keeps up in a room of acoustic guitars just fine. I recall instant love when I pulled it off the wall and played it, then plugged it in and was like oh man, this is coming home with me.
