M-Audio (F*** it)

Postby Slash1337 » 02 Jun 2010, 21:22

So as I've stated in my other post i went with the M-aduio Profire 2266(POS). KRK GEN 2 RP 8.

Open the box for the 2626 and it doesnt come with the power supply so i had to go run around for one and get one today from the local music store, then once everything was said and done it doesnt even play back, doesnt recieve a signal from my computer, can't even play itunes through it and Cubase wasn't even working with it. I set all my sound and devices to the Profire and still nothing and retried everything by the book about 4 times. So, I'm going back and ordering in the Focusrite.

maybe I'll take a shit in the box when i return it.

I AM AN IDIOT!

Haha, I went back to the store and they said that they guarenteed it would work, or they would give me my money back and halfprice on the focusrite (I wish I was right). BUT, turns out the guy was VERY nice and told me to bring my tower and my inertface in. He showed me how to set up my DSP and why the routes weren't working. He tweaked it alittle and now it's all set up. That annoying bizz is gone and i can tell a difference in the quality in sound (or maybe thats cause there was no little buzz in the background :P

ANYWHO, you learn something new, but still M-Audio tech support still sucks and so does that forum :P

So alls good in this world of mine and hopefully iy stays that way :)

Yep recording is all a learning curve. Getting your hardware to work with your PC is all part of it. Look at your interface a simply another sound card with a lot of connection options.
