Portable recorders to post sound clips on the forum,etc...

Postby Vinny » 13 Nov 2010, 04:54

It's been a while I want a small recorder to put some clips on this forum by example, not to record a CD!
So my eyes felt on this one :

Does anyone of you have such one, or something similar???
It would be nice to be able to record some of my playing or to record some gigs, jams with friends....
Don't want an expensive tool or too complicated, just straight to the point and if it's portable I can take it to rehearsal!!!

this one is only like $100-we've recorded rehearsals and gigs with it, the sound is pretty darn good for a unit at that price. I would recommend it without hesitation.

I am in the market for one too.
A interesting one i found is a zoom Q3 because this is also a videocam
that comes with software to put things on you tube
The reviews say excellent sound quality but not extreme good
in the videos. Now they come with a Q3 HD with good video
quality also. If you record for example at a concert you get video
with it also. This is like a camcorder without tapes or cd and extreme
good sound quality with x/y mics.

I just got my Q3HD last week, I had preordered it a month ago. The sound quality is exellent on this thing. I also got the accessory pack for it, which is a good idea because it comes with a tripod, HDMI cable, and other stuff. Only thing that Im trying to get used to is to not move around alot while video taping cause it can get pretty shakie, so the tripod is def a good investment. Plus this thing is super easy to use. I would recomend getting good regargables and a good 8gb or > SDHC card. also easy to work with a computer Mac and PC (tried both.)

I posted this in another section but the Zoom H2 has worked very well for me. Here are a couple of clips from a jam we did last month. Just calling out tunes, on the Steamroller one that is not me playing guitar until about 3:15 in, just have to make that clear, lol.
