Recording help

HI all, im looking at starting to record some clips just to send to friends and family maybe youtube that are spread around the world and im in need of advice on how to do this.Basically i just want to hook everything up and record best way possible.cheers

I think you'll need something like this:

1. Mic (Shure SM-57)
2. Audio Interface (Line6 UX1/UX2, M-Audio Fast Track, M-BOX 2/3)
3. Pro Tools / Cubase / Sonar
Amps: AFD 100 - 1960 AV - Vintage Modern 2466 - Class 5 Combo MK1
Guitars: Gibson SG Standard (SD APH-2s) - Fender Stratocaster Highway One
