Any Montrose Fans

Postby surfnorthwest » 12 Jan 2018, 16:32

I got some VIP tickets for this show during NAMM. They do it every year to raise money for cancer and always a great time. The VIP gets you into the backstage courtyard where the players are so you get to mingle with them, it a big party back there.

This year brings once again some really strong talent for the night. Derick St Holmes (Ted Nugent), Frank Hannon, and Doug Aldrich are just some of the guitar slingers playing the Montrose and Gamma catalog. Also one of my favorite drummers wild man James Kottak (Scorpions) and singer Jack Russel from Great White will be there.

So I got Eric Johnson Wednesday, Bonzo Bash Thursday, and the Montrose show for Saturday night.

Please pass on my regards to Doug Aldrich Surf. Could you also pass them to Frank Hannon, who I had the pleasure of spending a day in the Marshall factory with, showing him round and letting him try the amps in the theater of course.

Both great guys. :Cheers

Will do, I will see Doug about three times, Montrose show, Bonzo Bash and at the Baroni Labs booth. Your friend Bernie Marsden will be doing demos there also. :Thumbs

Just seen Bernie a few weeks ago when he played in South Shields.

Sounds like some cool shows to keep you and Josh entertained in Anaheim. Enjoy :Thumbs

I always liked Frank Hannon. I played the crap out of that first Tesla album.
