Saw Jeff Beck

Postby Fuggle » 16 Jun 2010, 13:36

Guys I saw Jeff Beck on Tuesday night in Monclair NJ in a small theatre. It was perhaps the best concert I have ever seen! He was amazing! He played a mix of his new stuff off Emotion Commotion (great album BTW), and older classic stuff. A really good Irish band called Imelda May opened up and she sang a couple of tunes with Jeff later in the show. Jeff's new bass player, Rhonda Smith was also great (not sure why Tal was not there but she was great also).

Jeff used a Marshall (not sure what model, looked like a VM but wrong colored lights) and 2 Fender Champs cranked. His tone was the best I have ever heard from a strat.

He is without a doubt the best guitarist I have ever seen. He breaks all the boundaries and has his own unique style that defies comparison.

I highly recommend seeing him at least once.

I have seen him before also and it was a great show. He is one of a handful of players that can have you putting your tail between Your legs when you leave.
