I went to see the always amazing Paul Gilbert in Southampton last night and managed to get a couple of vids you may be interested in. He and the 2nd guitarist (Tony Spinner, who was an excellent singer and as you can see in the Rock Me Baby vid, a hell of a guitarist too) were both using VM combos. Unfortunately I didnt get there early enough to get a good pic of his rig and settings.
