Tap tempo is momentary switch for sure.
Check if ON/OFF switch behaves same way. If this one is
momentary too it will be easier than you could think.
(Momentary switch doesn't click, it doesn't stay in position to keep
circuit closed. It only closes it for a moment in purpose to send message to
microcontroller.)

No click on either one which makes them momentary. So...that means i could extend the switches down to the pedal board with no effect on the guitar signal if i understand you correctly. I have thought of doing this before but knew enough that things sometimes are not that simple and i didn't know that about the switches like you explained so well.

Nice,
You don't need to remove original switch from your TC Repeater. You need to connect another switch in parallel.
Do same for Tap Tempo if you want to remote control it.

TIPS:
If you manage to install nice 4 terminal socket on your pedal it would be very pro mod.
iphone earplugs socket has 4 terminals, USB too. (if you have enough space to fit it in.) I photoshopped one in my picture.
You can always install your new cable through some of 4 socket holes in rear panel. I guess you don't use them all.

Man, that was some great info. Thank you Sikter. I have a VM rig coming and planned to use this delay in the loop. Only concern was not being able to control it. This is great. Thanks again for taking the time to explain this like you did.
