Pull the battery out do you mean disconnect or just pull it out from the chassis?

I think he is regarding to disconnecting... that sound reminds me of buffer getting "empty"... or I just heard wrong

Just curious as im not sure how the batterys are connected i/e two seperate snap on connectors or two batterys in one connector. If there is an issue with one battery connector being open, this could be the problem as well not enough voltage.

Hi forgot about this thread with all the people from the MF coming over...The batterys are 2 snap on connectors...I've attached some pics of the topside of the PCB....Pic no. 2 is the diode that I clipped

Ok, so are you getting this to power up just no signal going through?

I'm pretty sure it's powering up all around the board as I checked with the meter. Still no sound when switched on though

I also forgot to mention that the places I checked on the board are only getting 9v not 18.....I'm sure this is part of the problem
