Large filter caps.

Postby Anitoli » 23 Sep 2013, 14:22

Anybody know where i might be able to locate large solder tab filter caps in the 1000-4000 mf 75-100 volt range with at 2 inch diameter?
Any help or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mouser is a no go so far.

Thanks for the links Wildone, i'll give them a look.
This is what im working on. I have everything but the two large chassis mounted filter cans. The values are not all that hard to locate but im trying to get an equal sizing but i think i might have to go with a slightly smaller diameter, put some kind of a shim around the cap and call it good. We'll see, i've got more searching to do. :Thumbs

The Sunn Concert Bass ( in real rough shape). This thing set out in a garage in Maine for about 10 years before finding me. It's amazing it still works, although it's sound is horrible due to the capacitors degradation. Although not considered a classic amp i have to respect the engineering here. This amp has been to hell and back and still works, amazing.
