2266 Volume

Postby ulisescervantes » 03 Jan 2009, 16:36

Hi there,

I just got my 2266. Promise to post some pic and hopefully some recorded clip soon.

Sounds so good with the master volume above 6 that I cannot sleep just thinking on that sound.

Now it is at my apartment but I look forward to playing it again at the local. In the apartment I have to put the volume way down, but I was surprised that, set at low dynamic pos., the amp gives rather low output until master volume at 4 or so... I was expecting not to be able to play above 1-2 in my apartment, like a 1987 JCM 800 that I have been borrowing ... is that normal for the VM?

Thx
U.

yes, normal. This thing sounds surprisingly great at lower volumes. I keep my master at about 5.5 - 7 allmost allways though. I don't miss apartment living and can sympathise with your situation.
