But the pot has 7 pins and only 4 of those are in use.
When you look at the pot in front with the shaft pointing towards you, and the pins are pointing down, pin 1,2 and 7 (from left) are not in use.
What is the functions of pin 3,4,5 and 6.
I tried to measure them with my ohmmeter but didn't quite understand how it worked.
I probably have to remove it from the PCB to get right readings.

Any suggestions???

The pot is a dual ganged A1Meg (log).

Pins '1 and 2' are used, they are connected to the ground plane surrounding the pot. :wink:

Pin 1 = ground A
Pin 2 = ground B
Pin 3 = wiper A
Pin 4 = wiper B
Pin 5 = input A
Pin 6 = input B
Pin 7 = not used

1M stereo, audio taper. Don't waste your time trying to measure the resistance of a single component that's connected in a circuit. You would only be measuring the total resistance between the two points, not just the component itself.

Why do you need another pot...?
Strat -> YJM308 -> 2266/DSL50 -> 4x12

Sounds like somebody is doing a dual master mod. Cool, let us know how it comes out.
