Damn Guitar cable

Postby Lordakamai » 12 Mar 2009, 08:36

Today i was playing something and suddenly a cracking sound that i recognized a little to good for me only playing electric guitar for a year, a broken cable, this is like the 3rd cable i killed in the last year and i don't think this is normal, it cost something close to 35 euro's and it has this silent jack I hardly ever use it outside my home so it doesn't move allot either.
I'm just curious what kind of cables you guys use and if it's normal for a cable to break after 3 to 4 months. (because it's really pissing me off i do have 2 cables but now i can't use my wah wah for a few days :cuss .)
In the end, all you can rely on is your good old guitar

:Thumbs For that price your cables shouldn't be breaking like that. I use monster cables and planet waves cables which have life long guarantees.

I am a little bit confused by this. Are you not using cables attached to anything?

If you look at most of the comments for the video. You will see that this guy is actually using a monster speaker cable to connect his guitar.instead of an instrument cable.which would mean the cable would be unshielded probably causing the noise.
