Welcome to the forum Paulator. :howdy

I believe this has been covered before and the answer was that it's not possible. I could be wrong. I know a few players have had success using an eq pedal to boost the same frequencies that are boosted with the mid boost. Steve has stated what those particular frequencies are, you may want to give the search function a try.

Good luck.

It's always possible to mod anything to do anything. To do what you're asking you would need to fit a relay in parallel with or in place of the existing Mid Boost switch and use the footswitch to toggle the power (derived from the -15V rail) to the relay's coil.

Of course this is a warranty breaker for sure. :roll
Still my guitar gently weeps

Thanks a lot SteveD,

Goddammit, that means that I will have to use my aul TS-808 to boost the amp as I have done with all my Marshalls before :yea

Anyway, it could be worse, at least I won't lose that warm and cozy feeling when I am looking at the green fecker in front of me :Thumbs

I'll mod the amp when the warranty has expired, so another 16 months of TS-808-ing....

By the way - the 2266 has that certain something that I I was looking for for year, ooomph and scream (Bottom and Detail), oh yeah baby, that's what I like :jam

Has anyone
had this done? I'd rather have this in place of the DR on the footswitch.
