So . .can we mix the V30 and G12H-30 in a 2x12 with the 2466? I r


I have 2 V30's .. but want to add a more bark to the 2x12. I have been running a VM Combo and the 2466 with 2x12(v30), .. and the tone is SPOT ON AMAZING .. the entire spectrum is covered and its yummy!!

me wants the V30/G12H-30 2x12 - 2466 setup!!!!

no you couldnt use that setup. not with a 2466. the speaker impedances are the same which means power will be split evenly. half of 100 watt is 50watt which would be too much for the g12h30 as it is only handles 30watt. thats why for a hundred what this setup is used with a 4x12. cos then each speaker gets 25watt, which is acceptable for the g12h.

I also own the JVM 100 410C combo .. it has a V30 and a G12H "Heritage" ..

I guess I am wondering how they can pull it off in a the JVM combo, but I cant in a 2x12 with a VM? The JVMC has 2 8 ohm speakers running at 16Ohm's ..

well any descriptions iv read say celestion vintage and heritage speakers. one said vintage 30 but none said heritage g12h30 it only said g12! so id say the heritage is a g12-65 or something??

so i think it could be a vintage 30 and a g12-65. look in yer cab n see maybe? would like to know for certain!

yeah but slow the discription says celestion 'heritage' and in some places says g12. doesn say 'h 30 heritage at any point! so it might not be the g12h30 heritage and makes more sense to me that it could be the g12-65 heritage. i could be wrong tho!

You could run a G12H30 and V30 combo, but not very loud. I wouldn't put it up past noon.

I believe Eminence makes a G12H30 and a Greenback clone that can handle 50 watts.
