Yes, no question about it.

the gold is the same sensitivity as those. 100dB so theoretically yes it should be as loud. but dif frequencies effect percieved volume so im not sure how the frequency response of the gold will come into play. it may be percieved as slightly louder or quieter but should be the same.

The Alnico Gold cab is no louder than my Hellatone or Vin 30 cab, however Dean brought up a valid point in that the Alnico Golds have some very tight bass and fantasic warm mids, this might give a perception of a tad less high end volume than say the Vin 30s but with all those speakers loud is loud.

I have totally fallen in love with these Alnico Golds and will add another 4x12 with them soon.

I still do love the Lead 80s but it is hard to argue with a quad of those Alnicos, they are better. It really is amp dependent for me, I was using the VM with the Lead 80s and then when I sold my VM I gutted those and put in the Golds for the new Metro JTM45/100. Now that I have my VM back I am going to get another cab for it with the two Golds and two Lead 80s.

I use the Vin 30s for the 70 Superlead and the Granger with the Hellatones, those all match up well. Honestly I would love to replace everything I have with them but they are not worth $150 more for each speaker when I can get Lead 80s for $110. They are great but the $260 cost is a bit steep.

They are pretty amazing, I just wish they would lower the price a bit.

lol Slash uses V-30s ;-)

So if you want to sound like him the V-30s are probably gonna be closest. Myself I've had great success with Jensen C12-n's, but in the future I hope to get my hands on a V-30 cab.

Yes the V30s are good for getting a good rock sound ... I am using a fullstack live today with 2 1960 cabs with G12-T75 but want to replace one of them with V-30's.
I came across a Signature Slash 1960 used that was in good condition so I leaped on it and it's now in my living room going through extensive testing.
I think for a full stack using both G12-T75 and V-30's is a good combination. The T75's has a nice low end that is good for playing funk and tight rock riffs and the V30 is warmer and smoother.
I'll try it out at a gig soon ....
