Marshall 1960BX

Postby surfnorthwest » 14 Sep 2009, 19:38

Well I was looking for a cabinet for my 2466 since when I sold it and gutted the cab for Alnico Golds. Yesterday I called on a fantastic deal on a like new 1960BX cabinet but the guy said it was sold. Today he called back and said the deal didn't go so I sped over there tonight to pick it up.

After playing around I bit I have decided that the Metro JTM45/100 is the best match and the sound is absolutly killer through this cab so the VM will get the Alnico Gold cab. These are sweet cabinets and for $500 I am very happy tonight. :soccer

So every head now has its own cabinet.

It is one sweet amp that is very addictive, growls like A BEAST and is the best amp I have for the brown sound.

What speakers are in it?

On a slightly kinda related note. Just got word that Parts Is Parts finally got in more VM grillcloth & mine is on its way. TBH I had just given up on it. Looks like I have a decision to make. Keep the grillcloth I have on the cab now (which looks pretty cool IMO) or install the VM cloth to give it that "proper" VM cab look.

Greenbacks, just what the Metro JTM45 likes.
