Mojotone Speakers

Postby Green Manalishi » 27 Nov 2009, 17:11

I recently picked up a Mojotone clone of the G12H30, the BV-30H, and I was impressed. It sounded better than my 70th ann G12H in an A/B comparison. It was smoother, more articulate, and overall better sounding.
And at half the price of the Celestion, and being Made in USA, not China, it is a steal.
We have some great Celestion clone options right now with Mojotone, Warehouse Guitar Speakers (I had Greenback clones I regret selling) and Eminence's Red Coat line, lotsa options that won't break the bank. I can include Weber in that mix too, though I haven't actually heard one in person

I haven't tried them yet but my friend Curt Granger from Granger amps raves about them also, he thinks they are the best deal out there

I would say Curt's endorsement means a lot more than mine. Granger's stuff sounds incredible, even through my crappy computer. They know tone.

I have experience with a couple of the modern Eminence speakers and found them quite cool, especially for the prices as well. Dave at Avatar was damn near giving them away a couple years ago.

The rebranded Avatar Hellatones are a great deal as well on actual Celestions, I have a couple in a cab-no complaints.

The Warehouse speakers have caught my interest lately. I would like to sample the Veteran30.
