Marshall EVP

Postby Anitoli » 12 Feb 2018, 08:43

Had a weird occurrence the other night. I was jammin out using 6100 #2 and all of a sudden the sound dropped off, this voice came out the speaker but i couldn't discern what it said, and then the amp came back on. While this was going on the lights flickered as well. Had a similar occurrence a few months ago when using the Fender so i know it's prolly not an amp issue.

I think somethings trying to tell me something from beyond.................

On a serious note(if you're being serious) I've had this happen a few times. I can't tell for certain which amp it came out of (suspecting 81 4104)because I usually have more than one amp running at a time.
Anyway, it was definitely a CB or some other 2 way radio. It only lasts for a few seconds then stops. I can't make out exactly what they're saying.
I'd say in the last 5 years, this has happened around 3 times. I'm willing to bet that if I kept the amps on 24/7 I would here it more often. :Cheers

I am serious. The CB radio thing did cross my mind but normally on the road i live on large trucks are not very common and i can feel the foundation vibrate under the weight because most of the land is sandy fill and that didn't happen. Plus i have had many experiences with paranormal in the past. IDK if you have seen this before but this is a pic of a pic that was taken in a house i used to live in. There was something seriously wrong with this place:

Also, CB signals can carry pretty far, especially on cold, dry nights. You could also have picked up a shortwave signal.

When I was in high school, my amp at the time had an annoying tendency to pick up the school's radio station via the FX loop when I was playing in the auditorium.

I've had that happen with amps before. I used to have a Satellite (great amp, by the way - just not enough drive for my band) that would start randomly talking. The sound dropping off is weird though.

I've had some really really strange stuff and I'm a total believer in the paranormal.

The sound drop off and the light flicker is what got my attention the most. I have had RF interference before and it just cuts in without the drop off.
