Postby d2_racing » 05 May 2017, 06:22

Hi everyone, I found that amp near my place.

I plan to make an offer for it.

The only thing that is not original is the knobs.

What do you think ?

It was a amp Marshall made to be a practice or a studio amp. How does it sound, well that is all subjective. Not many made, I think only like 400 of them.

If you can get one cheap why not?

Interesting, had forgotten about these. The irony here is Marshall was making "Lunchbox" amps before people were demanding it......

If the price is right grab it. It is the only Marshall ever made to use 6V6 power tubes.

Never heard one but it should sound good. Probably has JCM800 style preamp and features a built in attenuator.
You can easily replace the control knobs with Marshall ones.

Ahh the G12 vintage speaker. Those were in my 5213 MOSFET combo and they were Pretty meaty sounding considering the amp was SS.
