Vox AC15 or Tiny Terror?

Hmmm... I can't decide. I can get a Vox AC15CC with Alnico Blue or a Tiny Terror and Orange 1x12.

I have a 2266, and a Ceriatone 18 watt, but not sure which to choose.

I have had a Tiny Terror before and really liked it, but is it going to cover the same ground I already have? The Ceriatone does not have the same gain the TT does, and I know the Vox doesn't either. I have played the AC15CC but only with the Wharfdale speaker, and I liked it well enough, but I understand it is so much better with the Alnico blue.

Any thoughts?

Personally I don't care for either of those two amps, however the new VOX NT15H Night Train is worth a listen. I would also wait and try a Class 5 and see what you think. Seems to me like these low watt amps are just getting more popular all the time.

The TT is all about the gain. The Vox would give you more tonal options. As Surf said check out the night train, I think it's the best of the smaller tube heads to date. :party

It's a choice between those two since I am trading. I tried the Night Train, and liked it, but I didn't like it any better than the TT.

From what I've heard of the Tiny Terror I like it. Never actually played one though.

So I traded for the Vox AC15, it has the Alnico Blue, and it is a very nice amp. Great clean sound, the Blue really makes a difference. I was about tog et the TT, but the cab had the G12K-100 speaker that I don't like, that was a deal-breaker for me.
I am glad I got the AC15, I am very happy with it. It in in near mint condition too.
I traded an Egnater Rebel. It was versatile, but in the end a little sterile. Reminded me of Mesa amps, good but just missing a little character.
The AC15 with my VM or my 18 watt is a nice complement.

Nice pickup on the trade, I would have gone withe the Vox also. Always easier to add high gain but either the amp has good cleans or it doesn't. You will love the Alnico speaker.

I swapped out the crap Sovtek preamp tubes and put in JJ Golds I had laying around, and what an improvement. i need to order some better EL84s now.
