Would you guys make this trade

Postby surfnorthwest » 05 Jan 2010, 09:59

This guy wants my Granger pretty bad and has offered me a Orange Rockerverb 100 in trade. I know nothing about this model. To me it sounds like a good trade, any thoughts?

Why are you parting with the Granger?

If it's in good shape it sounds fair to me. That might be a fun one for you try out for awhile in the studio.

It would be a fair trade. However, if you are selling the Granger to get away from that classic hard rock sound (I think that's how you put it) then it wouldn't make sense. Orange's are only good for one thing, and that's a cranked rock sound.

OK I told him no deal. I knew about Orange but nothing on this model. I read many reviews and watched some good video demos this afternoon and that amp is not for me. Very metal like amp which I want to get away from. The amp reminds me of the Diezel I had, uhhg.

Nope not for me, not only that but the Granger sounds much better anyways. Well as usual I have a great amp that is going to be hard to sell. I will continue to look at trades.

I would love to have it Surf. I don't have anything reasonable to trade and certainly don't have the money right now.

No I think I am pretty happy with the 2466 and Z amp in the studio. If I need plexi I have the 70 superlead which I will never sell. The Granger is killer but it is a hard rock amp and my current project as well as future projects won't need it. Bottom line is I bought to many amps in my quest. I really don't know if I will get another but I am open.
