Scared to ask, but a fender question haha

Postby pillagethesound » 20 May 2010, 07:29

So I love the VM and play it a lot daily, but was looking for a diff sound for this blues pair Im working on (piano player and me on guitar) and was considering a smaller amp with a bit of a different cleans sound. Im between the Fender Blues Deluxe and the Blues Devilles. Mainly Im curious for those who have played both, is there big tonal difference with the diff wattages? Is the Deville a huge improvement on the Deluxe? I dont have a Blues Deville around me to try, just a couple of Deluxes to mess with so thats why Im asking you guys. Its not a big deal for me with the price difference. Im either gonna buy used or try to abuse my fender dealer position (PA gear) to get the amp

Just so some of the new members here know, the VM forum allows open discussion of other amps on the forum. I believe that the Vintage Modern speaks for itself as well as many other Marshalls. We also believe there is no such thing as a single amp that gives you everything (although the new JMD1 comes close) so discussion of other great amps from Fender, Metro, DrZ or whatever is not discouraged.
