Fender Tone Master

Postby HappyBlues » 23 Jun 2010, 00:09

From these clips it looks like absolutely marvelous amp. I might like it more than VM. But don't have money right now. But - what a sound!

Here playing some sweet Fendery rhytm and great lead:

Here playing som more rhytm, mostly clean:

Some higher gain stuff - shitty digicam mike but you can hear it rips...

I'm thinking of buying one once we get kitchen made, and bedroom too. I'd have someone skilled build in a London Power Scale. Probably would be there instead of dirty channel volume, and I would only use clean channel and do dirt with nice pedals. Like Fulldrive-2, Vox Big Ben and OCD. And just maybe Maxon OD-820. Now that would be sick :scared

Interesting about the Super-Sonic versions. A 22 watt version is a good idea. I have a 60 watt one and it one helluva LOUD amp. Great tone in the Bassman mode.

They are on the fender site now including video/sound clips.Interesting amps. I wonder if it is possible to put a 2x12 combo on a 2x12 cab????
The head versions unfortunately :bang do not have a spring reverb
built in. I know i can put one in the loop but ipersonally i rather go for
a combo then.

I'm afraid supersonic sounds nothing like tonemaster...

I think you can put the combo on a 2x12 cab. The internal speaker is 8 ohms and there is a speaker out jack, which is probably 8 ohms also since the Fender 2x12 cab is rated at 8 ohms, as are most of them. Imagine the combo would be a bit narrower.

Yeah, the amp needs a reverb, for sure. I use an Alesis microverb4 into the loop on the head, which works fine.
