Well folks, per the post I did earlier about the Marshall '66 JTM 45/100 which is the one Jimi Hendrix used on his first record and all studio recordings up until his death, I finally finished my clone using some new and new old stock parts to replicate Jimi's tone. For more info about the amp build click here to visit that thread http://marshallvintagemodern.com/viewto ... f=3&t=5951
The clip below was just my first general doodling so forget any mistakes and I'm still learning how to dial in the tones. It can get extremely clean and is more chimey than any amp I've ever heard. It can also get very fat and overdriven on around 8-10. Just doing some tweaking and adjusting along the way to try to dial in the tones. No need to listen in entirity but if you can drag the time bar towards the end there's some with fuzz, uni-vibe, etc. This is plugged into a 2x12 open back cab loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers and all tubes borrowed from my VM 2466 till the new set arrives. I also just tried it through some Pre-Rola 20 watt greenbacks and sounds great as well.
