Recommended Class 5 and EP Booster

Postby Gridlock » 04 Apr 2013, 18:57

Tried my C5-01 combo with my new EP Booster pedal last weekend and it really adds some sparkle and makes the amp more lively. I recommend testing this pedal withe your Class 5.

Amps:
1973 Fender VIbrolux Reverb
1976 Marshall JMP 2187
2015 Marshall Astoria Classic
2023 Marshall JTM ST20C
Guitars:
1972 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe (Goldtop)
1982 Gibson “The Paul” Deluxe (Natural)
1997 Les Paul Custom ‘57 RI (Black Beauty)
2012 Fender American Standard Stratocaster (Olympic White)
2021 Gibson Les Paul Special (TV Yellow)
2022 Gibson Les Paul Tribute (Honey Burst)

I think a EP booster does that for about any amp. I still find my C5 to just the right amount of gain since I went to a 12Ay7 in on of the sockets. Thought it had to much with the AX7's. I still have a clean boost but never tried it since I retubed it.
